Gregory Pence‘s passion for cartooning ignited his junior year while studying American national identity at the London School of Economics. Later on, in 2010, he pursued related studies as a Fulbright researcher examining Korean nationalism through the lenses of protest art and propaganda. Much of the content on this site was inspired by these experiences abroad.
Pence began drawing cartoons professionally for the New Hampshire Union Leader as an undergrad, later publishing scribbles in Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood Daily, 38 North, The Korea Herald, The Korea Times, and Fulbright Infusion. His community organizing work was featured in CNN, BBC, The Wall Street Journal, ArtInfo.com, Washington Post, National Geographic, and other major news periodicals. Click here for more information.
Pence is a graduate of Dartmouth College and St. Paul’s School. He presently lives in Seoul with his wife and a cat.
